The remains of Holy Trinity Church, Buckfastleigh - destroyed by fire in 1992

The tomb of Squire Richard Cabell d.1677 who sold his soul to the devil. 

Legend has it that a pack of hounds from neighbouring Dartmoor appeared when he was buried.

It is said that this legend was the inspiration for 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.

It is said that if you run around the tomb 7 times and put your hand through the bars it will be bitten off.

Two brave walkers tested this - and remained intact
